Luke

Luke was brought up on the island of Orkney to the north of Scotland and now lives on the Isle of Mull.

After completing a cadetship with Teekay Tankers, Luke spent two years on North Sea Supply vessels followed by six years on Northlink Ferries (Aberdeen to Orkney & Shetland).

Having served as Chief Engineer since 2001 on six large motor yachts in the 30-80m range (incl. 12 crossings of the Atlantic), Luke brings a wealth of experience to the team on Astra.

In the summer months of Scotland Luke serves as skipper/engineer on a specialist fishing vessel and his most recent appointment before Astra was providing relief work as engineer with Scottish Fishery Protection.
